Kinga Szekely

Painter

Kinga Szekely received her formal training in fine arts at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Waterloo in Canada (1994-1999). She completed a studio specialization with focus on printmaking, including various techniques such as etching, lino cuts and collography.

Kinga's current creative imagery is heavily based on illustrations of Hungarian folkloric themes. Her work is characterized by strong outlines and wonderfully vivid colours. She works primarily with oil on canvas, but also likes to transfer some of the imagery to lino cuts.
