Dear Friends and art lovers,

Welcome on behalf of the members of Hungarian Visual Artists of Canada. Our art group has reached another important milestone in 2020. That year we celebrated the twentieth anniversary of our formation.

In recent years we have had several successful art shows featuring this talented and creative Canadian art group with Hungarian origins.

The diversity and talent of our artists is manifested through different techniques and modes of representation. I am sure everyone will find an experiential work of art that is interesting to them. And most importantly, all artists can be contacted directly if you would like to see their works displayed in your home.

The Hungarian Visual Artists of Canada has been characterized by strong collaboration and teamwork since its launch. The last twenty years are proof that we are stronger and better together!

I wish everyone a sensory-rich browsing experience and hope to see you soon at one of our upcoming art shows.

Dear Friends:

I am pleased to offer my warmest greetings to everyone celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Hungarian Visual Artists of Canada.

Since it was founded in 2000, the Hungarian Visual Artists of Canada has been committed to supporting and promoting the work of Canadian artists of Hungarian descent. This milestone offers a wonderful opportunity to reflect upon the history of your organization, to celebrate its accomplishments, and to look to the future.

I would like to thank the members of the Hungarian Visual Artists of Canada for their hard work and dedication. You can take pride in the knowledge that your efforts have strengthened your community and enriched Canada as a whole.

Please accept my best wishes for a memorable anniversary and continued success.

Yours sincerely,

The Rt. Hon. Justin P.J. Trudeau, P.C., M.P.

Varietas delectat!

This year marks the 20th anniversary that Hungarian artists around Toronto united to form the HuVAC art association. Following in the steps of French pioneers and the subsequent examples of famous artist settlements in Nagybánya and Szolnok (Hungary), these local artists have inspired each other by unlocking their individual potential and combining their abilities, talents and motivations.

As Consul General I am delighted to know the artists closely. Their life stories and hard work can serve as an example for all of us. Their dedication enriches our intellectual treasure, our culture and at the same time, deepens the cultural ties between Canada and Hungary by building bridges through art.

Those who are privileged to know members of HuVAC are aware that they create their art in countless styles using different techniques and media, allowing all of us to have our own favourites. Thanks to the variety they offer, they lead us through their exhibitions, from classical to contemporary, from still life to provocative compositions. Some works calm us, others stir, excite or have a sobering effect. One thing is certain: we cannot leave without some kind of emotional reaction. This is the essence of art, and that is what HuVAC is all about. Because diversity delights! The impact of art is captured and felt within us, in a unique and unparalleled way. Thank you HuVAC for the past 20 years. I wish you all a long and flourishing future!
