SIKLOS, KATI

Kati Siklos was born in Budapest, Hungary and completed her studies at the Budapest Fine Art School. She left the country during the 1956 revolution and immigrated to Canada. Her professional career as a lithographer started in Montreal. At the same time she kept up her art studies and took part in exhibitions.

In 1973 she moved to Toronto with her family. After her children left for university she was able to devote more time to her painting and through the years had many successful exhibitions in various galleries in Toronto and in Muskoka. In 2008 she joined HuVAC.

She lives in Toronto and loves to spend time at her Muskoka cottage where she finds inspiration in the vivid Canadian colours.

Winter Walk

Budapesten született és tanulmányait a Képzőművészeti Gimnáziumban végezte. Magyarországot az 1956-os forradalom után hagyta el és Kanadába imigrált. Montrealban litográfiával foglalkozott, miközben folytatta képzőművészeti tanulmányait és több kiállitáson vett részt.

1973-ban költözött családjával Torontóba. Miután gyermekei egyetemre mentek, több időt tudott forditani festészetre és az évek folyamán sikeresen mutatta be képeit torontói és muskokai galériákban. 2008-ban csatlakozott a HuVAC-hoz.

Kati Torontóban él, de kedvenc helye Muskokában van, ahol a kanadai táj és az élénk színek inspirálják képeit.
