LAKATOS, PRISCILLA

Priscilla is inspired by her love of nature and art. She began painting more than forty years ago and has studied at the Buckhorn School of Art, Visual Art Centre in Mississauga, Neilsen Park Creative Centre and the Bridgewater Retreat Art School.

In 1977, she opened her art gallery called Artique Canada in Toronto where she displayed her paintings for many years. Her clients included many major corporations, art galleries and art collectors throughout North America.

Her fascination with Ontario’s natural landscape has provided motivation and creativity for her to paint. On location she often paints or sketches to focus on the essence of the subject.

“Each painting is a new discovery and experience, and my goal as an artist is to capture the sense of light and colour in a personal way.”

Chemong Lake

A természet szeretete erős hatást gyakorol Priscillára a festészet terén. Több mint negyven éve kezdett festeni. Tanult a Backhorn-i Visual Art Centre-ben, a Neilson Park Creative Centreben és a Bridgewater festőiskolákban.

1977 ben megnyitotta az Artique Canada nevű galériáját Torontóban, ahol sok éven keresztül saját festményeit is bemutatta. Vevőköréhez tartoztak intézmények, art galériák és műgyüjtők főleg Észak Amerikából.

Ontarió természetes szépségei szinte megigézik és festésre készteik, ezért gyakran fest és rajzol szabad ég alatt a Természetben. “Minden festményem egy új tapasztalat és egyben felfedezés. Célom, hogy mint festő, sajátságosan örökitsem meg a fény és a természet gyönyörűségeit.”
